ABOUT ME

It wasn't until Sophomore year of high school when I walked into the Journalism classroom for the first time that I finally connected with my true passion. I have always loved words, stories, and writing, and I have been able to harbor this passion, and share my words with the world. My driving force in journalism is to create an impact in the world through my writing, and to invoke positive change.

In this portfolio, you can explore some of my work as a student journalist over the past three years, from my news articles about current events, to my podcasts about exploring the world. I have done a considerable amount of work as a member of Scot Scoop, Carlmont High School's journalism program. However, I have also interned at my local paper, and the Daily Cal, UC Berkeley's college newspaper, and have also create a considerable amount of content at various summer programs I've attended. Whether these journalistic pursuits arise in the form of writing, social media, multimedia journalism, or photography, I always aim work according to my driving purpose and use journalism as a tool for change.

Beyond high school, I will attend Northwestern University as a member of the Class of 2028. At Northwestern, I intend to study journalism as the Medill School of Journalism and continue my journey as a journalist in class and also outside of class on the Daily Northwestern as well as on the Northwestern News Network.
