Editing and Leadership

For the 2022-2023 school year, I am an editor for Scot Scoop. I check for grammar, ap style, flow, and more to ensure the articles are up to par for our site.

I provide grades to the writers and give them feedback as well and work closely with them to improve our staff. I aim to help all my writers grow rather than just changing their work.

In addition to utilizing the rubrics to give feedback to writers, I helped develop a blog rubric with another editor using my experience with blog writing.

I led, coordinated, and edited the creation of this multimedia package. After seeing the uprise of protests in Iran regarding women's rights, our staff felt that this required coverage. After getting a team together, we produced a cohesive story through wix. I made sure to edit all the stories and check for accuracy and the ethical details.
